The Northern California Chapter of the American Case Management Association would like to recognize and demonstrate our profound appreciation to all the Nurses and Social Workers for their hard work as Case Managers. Our profession touches many lives and plays a critical role in healthcare! Case Management is a profession that offers a unique opportunity through the many hats we wear such as advocate, driver, and discharge planner, to be examples of integrity, resilience, empathy, compassion, gratitude, and cultural humility while providing direct care.

Remembering Karen Vanaskie, DNP, MSN, RN, ACM-RN, CCM, RN-BC, BCPA

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of our dear chapter mentor over the years, Karen Vanaskie. Not only did she leave a significant impact within our chapter and ACMA, she was a remarkable case management leader whose legacy of compassion, integrity, and teamwork continues to inspire the healthcare community.
In honor, ACMA has established the ACMA Karen Vanaskie Scholarship Fund, to posthumously honor her legacy and contributions. This scholarship is open to case management professionals seeking certification.
